The playing rules of Worms Zone io
Welcome to the hunt for food in Worms Zone io. This game tasks you with guiding a worm to move around to eat food, collect coins, and block other worms.
Three game modes
At the start of the game, you can choose between three game modes with unique principles.
- Infinity Mode: This first game mode allows you to join an endless hunt for food. You must move around to consume as much food as possible to grow bigger and longer. Your score and rank will increase when you become a stronger worm. Besides, you can block the way of other worms to eliminate them. After your rivals are eliminated, a lot of food will be released, and this is a great chance for you to eat them and grow up faster.
- Treasure Hunter: You must pay five apples to play this second game mode. In this game mode, your targets are not only food but also treasure chests, which contain many coins. You must collect the most coins to get the first rank in the leaderboard. Be careful because the map is full of spiky pillars and stones. If you crash into these dangers, you are eliminated.
- Pirate Day: This final game mode requires you to join the hunt for seafood and complete 12 tasks. Do your best to get unique worms.
Collectible power-ups
Besides coins and coins, the map in this game is also full of power-ups, which assist you a lot in your hunt.
- Blue Bottle: After you collect this power-up, you can consume more food five times.
- Purple Bottle: After you get this power-up, the radar that displays the places where the worms collided will appear.
- Yellow Bottle: If you want to look further, try to collect this power-up.
- Square Green Bottle: This power-up helps your worm speed up temporarily.
- Circle Green Bottle: This power-up helps to raise your reflexes, so you can easily evade other worms.

If you want to control your worm to move around the arena, use the mouse.
If you want to raise your speed temporarily, hold the left mouse button.
Worm customization of Worms Zone io
When you have a lot of coins, you can buy new worms with different colors and designs. If you want to create your unique worm, you can change your worm’s color, eyes, and mouth. In addition, you can use your coins to upgrade your worm’s abilities.
- Magnet: If you upgrade the magnet, you can attract more food on your way.
- Multiplier: After you upgrade it, your score will increase five times.
- Radar: You can upgrade your worm’s radar to look further, so you can easily find the places where your rivals are taken down.
- Speed: It’s crucial to upgrade your worm’s speed if you want to escape stronger enemies and fight against your rivals for food.
- Maneuverability: If you want to boost your dodging skills, upgrade your worm’s maneuverability.
- View: If you want to find more yummies in the arena, upgrade your worm’s view.
